This morning I woke up to my son trying to give my side a hickey. Despite being very amusing it was also a rather pleasant way to wake up. As opposed to crying baby anyway. All I had to do was roll over and pop my boob in his mouth and problem solved. I hadn't done any all out cosleeping until this morning, and I've decided that it's awesome. We slept on the couch facing each other, him up agaisnt the back and me on the side with the edge so he couldn't roll off. And for those people who think you will roll over and squish the baby, the opposite happened. When I woke up I was pushed almost all the way off the couch and he had 2/3rds of the space. We were both comfortable. The blanket was down around my waist so it was nowhere near covering his little face. And instead of having to climb out of bed, walk around the obstacles in my room pick him up out of the crib, bring him back to bed and set up my pillows to feed, all while feeling like the walking dead, all I had to do was pop my boob in his mouth and we both avoided feeling cranky.
Lately N has been getting even cuter. She loves baby "Syah" and jumps up every time he makes a sound. "Uh oh! Baby Syah crying! Maybe he's hungry. Baby Syah want a baba" Yesterday she made him a tower, and a grilled cheese sandwich. Which means she really likes him, she doesn't just hand those things out to anyone.
Sunday we have the baby shower that C's family is throwing. I am only sort of looking forward to it. I don't relish the idea of exposing my baby to a million random people's germs in a house that reeks of smoke. But hopefully after it's all done we'll have everything we need for the baby.

I found that to be the biggest advantage of co-sleeping. Being able to nurse so quickly and comfortably. I still do that as a matter of fact.
I am so happy to hear that things are going so well for you and Sky. He sounds like an amazing little guy.
By the way, I have tagged you. Don't feel obligated or anything to play. You have your hands full!
I didn't do it much, but there were some nights when the only way D would sleep (or let ME sleep) was to be snuggled up next to me in bed. I never even had a "close call" with him in terms of rolling over. You're just SO aware of him, even in your sleep. A word of caution though... He did throw up in my bed a couple of times, which was SO nasty...
